Police

This week was super adventurous. We were eating dinner at a house last Saturday night when we watched a car just back straight into our parked car. So that was probably not at all what we wanted. Defs not what President wanted. We had to go to the police station to get a report, the other guy was at fault, he kept trying to tell the police that it's where he always turns around his car, Police just told him he should have been looking. So ya fun times.

Polima and Kylee both got baptized!!! IT was awesome, Cicilias baptism got pushed back again for family matters, most likely going to happen next week. We have a baptism for this Saturday with a 10 year old kid named Lance who comes to church with his friends every week.

We were visiting a friend last night and they were busy then right when we were leaving she told us that she was talking to her friend and her friend wants her 12 year old daughter to be baptized. So we go and visit the house, bro, she lives literally right in between the Methodist chapel and the pastor for the Methodist churches house. It was so awkward walking up everyone was watching us haha, but now we are going to baptized 2 possibly 3 kids there in a couple weeks.

My new companion is Elder Pangai!!!! My MTC comp, it has been soooooo awesome. Such good times, and we are seeing lots of success in the area and the zone. Thanksgiving was good, I forgot it was Thanksgiving that day until we went to our MLC Meeting and Sister Ho-Ching mentioned it, we went out to eat a Chinese restaurant ate tons so a good Thanksgiving.

Temple!!!!

I got to go to the temple for the first time in like 13 months last Friday, lets just say I was HYPED. Elder Ama went home and President let me go with him to do a session. It was all in Samoan also, lots of super respectful words used. Sister Ho-Ching has pictures of us outside, Ill send them next week, haven't gotten them yet.

So I actually haven't gotten a new companion yet, I have been in a trio with Elder Dearden and Elder Pangai for the last week. Elder Pangai is my MTC comp so we have been living it up. Super fun times. I should be getting a permanent companion tomorrow but we will see what actually happens.

Elijah got baptized this past week, and we have 4 baptisms lined up for this week with Lisati, Polima, Kylee, and Cecilia. Kylee is part of this family from America that was all supposed to get baptized, then we figured out the father is on probation...not what we want at all. So his baptism is postponed for now, and not positive the mother will be baptized this Saturday or wait for her husband. They both really want their daughter to get baptized though so we will go ahead this Saturday with her.

It's been a super awesome week, and we have MLC tomorrow which should be fun as well. Samoa is very hot.

Ai ia ola, aua le ola ia ai

That means "Eat to live, don't live to Eat" Quote from our Recent Convert Tavui who is like 80 years old, great guy. While we were visiting him this old small firetruck drives through the village with its horn saying a tsunami was coming. Me and my companion were about to flip, we are like right next to the ocean. Then we figured out like 1 min later it was just a drill, so everyone in the village was going inland anyways, it was pretty cool.

This past week was awesome! Luca, Tala, and Toni all got baptized! All awesome people and super excited about their baptisms! Honestly not a whole lot else going on, I got kind of sick this last week, took lots of dayquil pills, S/O to mom. Another Elder was actually sick yesterday also so we stayed in together, while our companions did a split, probably one of the worst days of my life. Nothing worse than staying inside. But I did get some extra rest and feel a lot better now so bless up. We had a couple baptisms get pushed back till next week, but we still have 1 tomorrow and then my companion goes home on Friday. I'll have news on who my new comp is next week. Faaaaaaaaa

Celebrating 100 years of Influenza

So I guess today marks the 100 year mark of influenza coming into the nation. I am not exactly sure but its a national holiday so no school or work for the whole island. It's pretty cool, there are little Samoan Flags all over the streets. Also, fun things going on, Sister Ho-Ching gave us the Christmas album we can listen to, bless up.

MAN have we seen so many miracles. seriously so dumblit. We had 4 baptisms last week, all miracles. I think I forgot to talk about Teresila last week, but bishop literally just gave her to us, she got married together with the other couple, so we had two marriages and then did the baptism together. Miracle. We have 3 baptisms this week with Toni, Tala, and Luka. Basically they are all super prepared and we have been really blessed.

We found a family from America!! They are from Independence Missouri, the dad is Samoan, and the mom is full Palagi as well as the 13 year old daughter. They are all getting baptized on the 24th of this month! They have for reals been some of the most spiritual lessons I have done on my mission. They are changing their lives and love Jesus Christ. We are HYPED.
